Questions

Is CARFAX Car Care really free?

Yes. Its App Store listing shows no in-app purchases.

Can I use both?

Yes, and some people should. CARFAX picks up work done at shops in its network without you typing it; a separate log covers everything else. The cost is keeping two places up to date.

Can I import my CARFAX history into Wrenchy?

No. Wrenchy doesn't import from other apps. You'd enter the services that matter, usually the most recent of each type, so the reminders know where to start.

Why do people leave CARFAX Car Care?

In the 100 most recent US App Store reviews (read October 19, 2026), the one- and two-star reviews mention several things: being logged out or asked for an emailed code, cars and records disappearing after an update, and only a few service types to choose from. These are reports from reviewers, not something we've tested.
