Car maintenance log for iPhone

Wrenchy: Car Service Log

Wrenchy is an iPhone app for keeping your car's service history: every oil change, tire rotation and repair, with the date, mileage and cost. It reminds you when each service is due by date or mileage, works for as many vehicles as you own, and keeps everything on your phone with no account.

What's the easiest way to keep track of car maintenance?

It depends on how your car gets serviced. If one dealer or a chain shop does all your work, an app that pulls records from a shop network, such as CARFAX Car Care, fills in a lot automatically and is free. If you do some work yourself, use an independent mechanic, or want to set your own intervals, a log you fill in yourself is more complete. Wrenchy is that kind of log: you add each service in a few taps, it tells you what is due next, and the records belong to you, with no account to lose access to. A paper logbook works too, but it can't remind you.

What Wrenchy does

Screens from the app

  • Wrenchy's vehicle screen for a 2016 Honda Civic at 101,475 miles, with an overdue oil change flagged 743 miles over its interval above a list of past services.
  • The log a service form in Wrenchy, with service types such as Oil Change, Tire Rotation and Brake Inspection, and a date picker.
  • Service history for a 2023 Ford F-150, showing a brake inspection record with a cost of $412.00 and a note about front pads and rotors.
  • Wrenchy's garage screen listing three vehicles, each with its next service and current odometer reading.
  • Wrenchy settings with a note that no account is required, nothing leaves the device, and records can be exported to CSV at any time.

Who it's for

  • Anyone with a car, whether it's one daily driver or several in the driveway
  • Drivers who want to know what's due without memorising a schedule
  • DIY mechanics who do their own oil changes and brake jobs
  • Anyone using an independent shop that doesn't report to a records network
  • Sellers who want proof of maintenance when the car goes up for sale

Your records, on your phone

Wrenchy has no account and no cloud copy of your log. Vehicles, services, costs, notes and photos are stored on your iPhone. The app sends usage and crash reports, tied to a random ID rather than your name or email, so we can fix problems. It never sends the contents of your log. The privacy policy lists exactly what leaves the phone.

How much it costs

Wrenchy is a subscription; one plan unlocks everything for every vehicle. As of October 2026, US prices are:

Questions

Do I need an account to use Wrenchy?

No. There is no sign-up and no login. Your vehicles and service records are stored on your iPhone, and the subscription is tied to your Apple ID through the App Store.

What happens to my records if I delete the app or lose my phone?

Your records are stored in the app on your phone, so deleting the app deletes them. They are included in your iPhone's iCloud or computer backup, so a new phone restored from that backup has them. You can also export the whole log to a CSV file from Settings and keep it in Files, iCloud Drive or email.

Can I track more than one car?

Yes. One subscription covers every vehicle you add, each with its own odometer, history and reminders.

How does Wrenchy know when a service is due?

Each service has an interval in miles (or kilometres) and in months. Wrenchy counts from the last time you logged it and reminds you at whichever comes first. You can change any interval to match your owner's manual.

Is Wrenchy on Android?

Not yet. Wrenchy runs on iPhone (and iPad) with iOS 16.4 or later.

How much does Wrenchy cost?

Wrenchy is a subscription. As of October 2026 in the US it is $39.99 a year, $5.99 a month, $3.99 a week. See the pricing page.
